Assembly Technician

• Schedule: Full-Time, Onsite

We are seeking an Assembly Technician to support the Access Solutions Group in assembling, testing, and packaging custom automation devices for life science research. This contract role may run through 2026, with a strong potential to convert to a permanent position based on performance and interest in skill development.

• Education:

  • Associate’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Technology or high school diploma equivalent experience

• Required Skills & Experience:

• • Experience assembling electromechanical devices and/or electrical components

  • Skilled in building cable harnesses and other electrical assemblies

  • Ability to read and follow wiring schematics

  • Familiarity with precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.)

  • Experience with soldering, crimping connectors, drilling, and tapping

1. Assembling and testing complex electromechanical devices

2. Building cable harnesses and electrical assemblies

3. Reading and following wiring schematics

• Assemble and test complex mechanical/electrical devices

• Build and inspect cable harnesses and electrical assemblies

• Assemble kits with custom packaging

• Work with engineering to manage inventory for high-demand products

• Assist in packaging and preparing items for shipment

• Support set-up and tear-down of large automation systems

• Strong sense of urgency and task focus

• Ability to self-prioritize across multiple responsibilities

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Mechanical/electrical aptitude and attention to detail
