Mental Health Technician

Job Summary:

• This role provides supervision, support, and engagement for clients in a safe, structured environment.
• Responsibilities include monitoring behaviors, documenting observations, facilitating groups, assisting in crises, and promoting therapeutic activities.

Key Duties:

• Ensure client safety and wellbeing through continuous supervision.
• Conduct safety checks and manage belongings.
• Facilitate educational and rehabilitative groups.
• Document client progress and vital signs.
• Apply de-escalation techniques and assist in emergencies.
• Support recreational activities and treatment goals.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6+ months experience with behavioral health preferred.

Required Certifications/ Licensure:

• BLS and CPI (can get on-site upon starting).

Additional Knowledge/Skills:

• Knowledge of psychiatric disorders and treatment modalities a plus.
• CPR and de-escalation certification (training provided).

Additional Information:

• Additional staff include: 2-3 BHAs for Days, 2 BHAs for Nights; Multiple Counselors, Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm with a Case Manager, HR, HRD, CEO, CNO, Quality/Risk, and 1 Intake Coordinator.
