Shift: Mon-Thurs 8:30AM--12:30PM, Fri 8AM--12PM
Job Title: Phlebotomist II
Job Summary:
The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) serves as the main point of contact for patients visiting for routine tests or important health evaluations. This role involves drawing high-quality blood samples, preparing them for laboratory testing, and ensuring patient comfort and trust during the process. The PSR II works independently or in clinical settings, including doctor’s offices or patient service centers, depending on business needs.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform daily responsibilities accurately and punctually under supervisor direction.

Maintain a professional, safe environment for patients and colleagues.

Collect and process forensic and clinical specimens using established procedures.

Verify patient identity and label specimens in the presence of the patient.

Maintain accurate records and documentation.

Represent the organization positively to patients, coworkers, and the public.
Job Requirements:

Strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Proven skills in phlebotomy, including pediatric and geriatric draws.

Flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, on-call shifts, and overtime.

Adhere to dress code, safety guidelines, and company standards.

Sound judgment and decision-making based on procedures.

Must have reliable, personal transportation (public transportation or rideshares not accepted).

Must be dependable and punctual; excessive absences or tardiness may lead to dismissal.

Willingness to travel with short notice and work at multiple locations.
Education:
-
High school diploma or equivalent (Required).

Medical assistant or paramedic training (Preferred)
Experience:
-
Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric and geriatric collections.

At least 2 years in a patient service center setting (Preferred).

Customer service experience in healthcare, retail, or related environment (Preferred).
-
Data entry and keyboard proficiency.
