Job Title: Quality Engineer
Job Location: Onsite - New Port Richey, FL 34654
Job Duration:5-6 Months (possibility of extension)
Shift: Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4:15pm
Payrate: $38.00 - $42.54 /hr on W2

Job Summary:

• The Sr Quality Engineer is responsible for interfacing with internal and external customers when quality-related topics arise.
• This individual will continuously assess quality capabilities for both products and processes.
• This position is part of the Quality Assurance department and will be an on-site role located in client.

Responsibilities:

• Drive internal PPM improvements using iDT&R (Internal Defect Tracking & Resolution).
• Drive external PPM improvements using CDT&R (Customer Defect Tracking & Resolution).
• Maintain and update value stream quality systems using standard APQP tools.
• Lead Quality related Kaizen events for your respective value stream.
• Collaborate with manufacturing to reduce scrap for your respective value stream.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field. (Engineering or Technology).

Experience:

• 5+ years of quality engineering experience.
• Experience with APQP core tools. (Experience in both development and maintenance).
• Experience with SPC (Statistical Process Control) and DoE (Design of Experiments).

Preferred Qualifications:

• It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
  • Experience using Six Sigma tools.
  • ASQ or Six Sigma certifications.
  • A regulated manufacturing environment, i.e., Aerospace or Automotive.

Additional Requirements:

• 5+ years quality engineering experience within a regulated manufacturing environment. (i.e. Aerospace or Automotive).
• Experience with APQP core tools. (Experience in both development and maintenance) (APQP = Advanced Product Quality Planning).
• Experience with SPC (Statistical Process Control) and DoE (Design of Experiments).
