Job Location: New Brighton, MN 55112
Job Duration: 12 Months+ (Possible Extension)

Pay Rate: $22.50/hr. on W2

Shift: 2nd Shift - Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
 
Position Overview:
The Manufacturing Technician I is responsible for meeting daily production schedules and customer demand while ensuring safety and quality standards are consistently maintained. This role involves assembling and testing medical devices using specialized equipment, fixtures, and documented work instructions in a regulated manufacturing environment.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assemble, produce, and test medical devices using specialized equipment and fixtures.
  • Follow detailed work instructions, safety rules, and operating procedures.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Lead and/or Specialist to meet production targets.
  • Participate in basic troubleshooting and problem-solving to maintain work cell stability.
  • Report quality, process, material, or equipment concerns to leadership.
  • Maintain and complete standard work documentation accurately.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives (DBS concepts).
  • Sustain 5S standards to ensure a clean and organized work area.
  • Adhere to company Quality System policies and regulatory documentation requirements.
  • Actively contribute as a team member in daily production operations.
 
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating procedures, and work instructions.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Experience in medical device manufacturing.
  • Experience working with micro-product assembly.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
 
Physical & Work Environment Requirements:
  • Ability to work in areas containing adhesives, solvents, and chemical processes.
  • Frequent standing, walking, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, and twisting.
  • Regularly lift up to 10 lbs; occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to visually inspect small parts for extended periods (close vision and color vision required).
  • Willingness to comply with controlled environment standards, including specific apparel and hygiene requirements.
