The Sr Business Consultant will review requests for proposals (RFPs), ensure timely and accurate delivery of quotes, and collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary data. Job Summary:
Seeking highly organized, detail-oriented resources to support the quoting team during a high volume period. The Sr Business Consultant will review requests for proposals (RFPs), ensure timely and accurate delivery of quotes, and collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary data. Strong communication skills, process orientation, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review incoming proposals to ensure all required information is received.
- Identify and flag inconsistencies or missing information within quote requests.
- Work with producers or general agents to clarify or gather missing information.
- Follow processes, procedures, job aids, and step-by-step guides to accurately and timely process RFPs.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders including Sales, Account Management, and Underwriting as needed.
- Maintain up-to-date records of quote activity in relevant systems or trackers.
- Ensure quotes are delivered within turnaround time targets; escalate delays or issues as needed.
- Support documentation and process improvement efforts related to quoting workflow.
- Submit quotes through internal applications for Underwriting review and pricing.
- Review current quoting processes and identify opportunities to streamline future workflows.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions as appropriate.
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years experience in quoting, sales, operations, pricing support, or similar administrative roles.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Quick learner, adaptable to changing priorities.
- Experience in the Health Insurance field is a plus.
- Uses best practices and knowledge of internal/external business issues to improve products or services.
- Independently solves complex problems with innovative solutions.
- Works independently with minimal guidance, exercising judgment, critical thinking, and initiative.
- Proven ability to interact with and influence a wide range of stakeholders and consistently deliver results.
- Experience collaborating with management and staff across multiple departments to drive results and resolve issues.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio) for communication and analysis.
