Position Summary:
The Institute for Trauma Recovery at the Client is looking for a data analyst/statistician at or above the master’s degree level, to work in a collaborative team of investigators and perform statistical analyses to Product new discoveries to help trauma survivors.
The primary focus of the position will be to assist with analyses of diverse longitudinal data collected as part of the Client million dollar AURORA study. This study, funded by the National Institute of Mental Health and private and foundation partners, enrolled individuals presenting to a large network of emergency departments in the immediate aftermath of trauma. Study participants were followed longitudinally for one year, beginning in the hours after trauma, using sophisticated adaptive sampling methods and state-of-the-art battery of self-report, neurocognitive, physiologic, digital phenotype, psychosocial, neuroimaging, and genomic markers.
In addition to analyses of these data, the statistician will also analyze data from longitudinal data collected as part of many other past and current R01 studies going on in the institute, as well as the analysis of clinical trial data.

Required Qualifications, Competencies and Experience:
- Strong organizational skills.
- Must be able to analyze diverse longitudinal data collected as part of research studies.
- Must have prior experience publishing peer-reviewed manuscripts.
- Must have experience preparing other academic, grant, or stakeholder-facing materials.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience:
- Ideal candidates would have experience with software and the ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Prior with advanced statistical methods (e.g., multilevel modeling, latent/class cluster analysis, regression-based methods) is preferred, as is familiarity with machine learning techniques.
- Candidates should also demonstrate proficiency with both basic and advanced statistical analyses in clinical or epidemiological research.
- Minimum of a relevant Master’s degree (or foreign degree equivalent) preferred.
- Ideal candidates will have a PhD in a social, applied, or related science discipline.
- Demonstrated ability as a scientific writer.
- Demonstrated ability to perform advanced statistical analyses and learn and perform statistical analyses new to them.
- Expert knowledge of R and other software packages.
- Ability to collaborate effectively on multidisciplinary teams.
- Master’s degree with extensive experience will be considered.
Description of Work:
- Data analysis.
- Develop scripts/code as necessary to streamline/optimize analyses.

- Writing and contributing to peer-reviewed publications.
- Writing results reports and presenting findings in stakeholder meetings or research conferences.
