Position: CT Technologist
Location: 25-10 30th Ave., Long Island City, NY 11102
Shift: Overnight (12:00 AM – 8:00 AM), Monday through Friday
Duration: 13 weeks
Hours: 37.5 hours/week, 7.5 hours/day, 5 days/week
Hourly Rate: $66
Key Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize appropriate kV and mA techniques to ensure high-quality diagnostic CT images.
- Perform daily quality control calibration checks on all equipment to ensure proper functionality before patient studies.
- Administer radioactive materials to patients as per physician orders, following prescribed protocols.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including logs, manuals, and charge documents; report equipment issues to comply with regulatory standards.
- Conduct quality control, quality assurance, and safety tests; adhere to radiation safety guidelines to uphold the ALARA principle.
- Retrieve and maintain patient films and electronic data for radiologist interpretation.
- Order patient-specific radiopharmaceutical doses one day prior to use.
- Receive and verify radiopharmaceuticals upon delivery, ensuring proper receipt and activity levels before administration.
- Licensing with New York State Department of Health (NYS DOH) in Radiologic Technology.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in Radiography and CT.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Required: Minimum of 1 year of CT experience.
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Ability to perform CT procedures according to prescribed protocols, ensuring uniformity and accuracy.
- Sound judgment to assess and respond to patient needs before, during, and after visits in the Radiology department.
