Contracts Assistant

Job Description:
Position is remote and candidate can sit in any one of the following 15 states Client, FL, GA, ID, IA, KY, MI, NE, NM, NY (outside greater-NYC), OH, TX, UT, WA (outside greater-Seattle), WI , but must be able to work PST hours.
Schedule: Monday to Friday; 8 hours between 6am and 6pm PST

Job Details/Requirements:
Should have experience in the Provider space, including experience with Provider data and experience with Provider outreach
Should have 2+ years of administrative experience
Contractors will be researching Provider contract, performing outreach to Providers to validate data, and send updated contract

Summary:
Ensures timely flow of provider contracts and applications to prospective providers. Maintains multiple provider network resources. Provides general support for Provider network development projects as needed. Essential Functions: Sends out contracts/applications to prospective providers upon request of Director or Manager and/or Provider Contracting and/or Service team members. Receives calls from prospective providers and answers questions regarding contracting process, policies and procedures.
Forwards requested information/documentation to prospective providers in a timely manner.
Maintains database of all contracts and specific applications sent to prospective new providers.
Completes and updates (CIF) form for each new contract.
Ensures accuracy and completeness of provider demographic information and coordinates communication of such information to Provider Configuration team.
Sends out new provider welcome packets to providers who have contracted with the plan. Utilizes Plans system to track and follow up with Providers who have not responded to Contracts and/or Applications sent as directed by management.
Formats and distributes Provider network resources (e.g. electronic specialist directory).
Comply with required workplace safety standards.
State Plan / Department Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepares and sends out Closed Provider Panel letters to providers that do not meet Provider Contract Criteria.
Coordinates/documents workflow between providers, Contract Managers, and other internal departments.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Good computer skills, Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel and Access) Ability to demonstrate knowledge of general office skills
Ability to research and resolved issues
Excellent organizational and verbal and written communication skills
Ability to abide by Clients policies
Ability to maintain attendance to support required quality and quantity of work
Maintain confidentiality and comply with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)
Ability to establish and maintain positive and effective work relationships with coworkers, clients, members, providers and customers

Required Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent GED

Required Experience:
2 years customer service, provider service, contracting or claims experience.
