Project Description
The Development Sciences Informatics group is looking for an individual to support the gRED organization, containing over 500 people, with implementations of informatics and data management solutions.
This position will require a blend of informatics skills and business analysis in order to help deliver and support high quality solutions that provide value to the users.
This position will primarily support expansion of a master data management system which provides critical metadata to consuming applications and end users to enable FAIR data.
Major Responsibilities and duties:
Contribute to the delivery of informatics solutions that are cost effective, scalable, fit for purpose, and meet business requirements.
Perform business analysis to understand and contribute to current and future needs of informatics systems
Serve as the Dev Team SPOC to interface with the product team. Translating and sharing information to and from the two teams
Partner closely with the product team to understand business requirements and translate them to the development team
Manage the development team sprints, including sprint review, planning, ticket tracking and assignment
Ensuring compliance of the dev team tasks with the Product Owner's priorities,
Managing release Product and ensuring its correctness
Support the dev team with providing business context to technical requirements
Education Requirements
Bachelor degree in one of the related fields (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematical Engineering, Information Systems) or equivalent work-related experience
Required skills
Minimum 3 years relevant experience as a business analyst, analyzing business requirements and supporting software development projects
Demonstrated experience of different software development methodologies (i.e. Agile, Scrum, etc.) and having experienced the end to end Software Development Life Cycle.
Ability to balance technical and process implications, along with short and long term considerations
Systems thinking skills
Proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, and Google Suite
Flexible and adaptable, able to learn quickly and work on various engagements.
Excellent communication, advanced English reading, writing, listening and speaking skills.
Nice to have skills
Scientific and drug development life cycle experience
Experience with metadata/data management and FAIR data
