Job Title: Material Handler
Location: Indianapolis, IN 46268
Duration: 6 Months+ (Possible Extension)
 
Shift: First Shift – 6:30 am to 3:00 pm, Monday to Friday
 
Job Summary:
As a Material Handler, you will ship, receive, package, count, and route material, complete associated paperwork, and/or operate machinery such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
 
Primary Responsibilities:

• Coordinate shipping, receiving, and material handling transactions with appropriate individuals/departments.
• Responsible for assigned picking, inventorying, and packaging. Route packaging materials to proper departments.
• Instruct and/or assist in preparing merchandise for shipment.
• Maintain necessary records and files of transactions, verifying accuracy of shipments, product bills of lading, invoices, or other records on Oracle or other systems.
• Set up locations in ERP and resolve purchase order receiving discrepancies and receiving discrepancies with planner-buyer.
• Arrange stock to best advantage for efficiency and accessibility. Adhere to all safety rules and may use forklift and other material moving tools and machinery.
• Deliver product from receiving to the appropriate destination.
• Expedite internal material requirements, transferring inventory to multiple locations including MRB.
• Set up material presentations in the cells utilizing Client tools including Client Material Processing (DMP) and Visual Management.
• Perform inventories; physically conduct and transact cycle counts of materials.
• Reconcile bad counts with assistance from Senior Material Handler.
