IT Project Manager IV

Location: Corning, NY area or Charlotte, NC area preferred. Remote candidates in Eastern or Central Time Zones considered.
Position Type: Full-Time / Contract
Duration: Assignment anticipated through the end of 2026, with possibility of extension based on demand.

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven IT PMO Project Manager with recent, hands-on ServiceNow platform implementation experience to lead complex, enterprise-scale initiatives. This role is ideal for a delivery leader who understands product-centric delivery models and excels in Agile and Scrum environments.

The successful candidate will take ownership of delivery outcomes, proactively manage risks and issues, engage stakeholders, and ensure solutions meet company quality, compliance, and governance standards.

As a global leader in innovation, Corning’s IT PMO Project Manager for ServiceNow Delivery will play a key role in enabling scalable platforms, modern service delivery, and product-oriented ways of working that support business transformation.

1. Project & Product Delivery Ownership

• Lead end-to-end delivery of ServiceNow platform implementations, ensuring scope, schedule, budget, and quality targets are met.

• Drive accountability for project and product outcomes while resolving delivery challenges proactively.

• Manage product-based delivery (roadmaps, backlogs, continuous value delivery) alongside traditional project execution.

• Ensure alignment with enterprise PMO standards and Agile delivery methodologies.

2. ServiceNow Implementation Leadership

• Manage deployments and enhancements across multiple ServiceNow modules, including:

  • HR Service Delivery (HRSD)

  • Finance-related workflows and integrations

  • IT Infrastructure, ITSM, and ITOM

• Coordinate cross-functional teams comprising business stakeholders, ServiceNow developers, platform owners, and vendors.

• Ensure platform configurations, integrations, and releases align with business objectives and architectural standards.

3. Agile & Scrum Execution

• Lead Agile delivery processes such as sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

• Partner with Product Owners to prioritize backlogs and deliver incremental value.

• Support teams transitioning from project-centric to product-centric delivery models.

4. Project Leadership & Governance

• Develop and maintain project plans, roadmaps, milestones, and resource allocations.

• Manage RAID logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) with timely mitigation and escalation.

• Provide clear and concise status updates and executive communication.

• Ensure delivery alignment with PMO governance and business strategy.

5. Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

• Build and maintain strong relationships with business leaders, product owners, and technical teams.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for delivery status, risks, and decisions.

• Engage senior leadership and decision-makers to maintain momentum and alignment.

6. Quality, Compliance & Continuous Improvement

• Ensure compliance with Corning’s quality, governance, and regulatory standards.

• Promote continuous improvement through lessons learned, retrospectives, and metrics analysis.

• Ensure deliverables meet agreed acceptance criteria and business expectations.

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree (minimum requirement)

Experience:

• 7+ years of IT project/program management experience, preferably within a PMO environment.

• Direct, end-to-end ServiceNow platform implementation experience within the last 5 years.

• Proven delivery experience with ServiceNow modules in HRSD, Finance workflows, IT Infrastructure, ITSM, and ITOM.

• Demonstrated leadership in managing complex, cross-functional enterprise initiatives.

• Experience with product-centric delivery models and managing transitions from project-based approaches.

Certifications:

• PMP (Project Management Professional) certification required.

  • Note: Candidate submissions must include PMP certification number and active dates; submissions without this will not be considered.

• Agile and/or Scrum certification strongly preferred (CSM, PMI-ACP, SAFe, or equivalent).

• ServiceNow certifications preferred, including but not limited to:

  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)

  • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) – HRSD, ITSM, ITOM, or related modules

  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)

• Strong knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and hybrid delivery models.

• Proficiency in managing project plans, delivery roadmaps, backlogs, and RAID logs.

• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and escalation abilities.

• Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and compliance.

• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders without direct authority.
