Summary:
We are seeking a Travel Phlebotomist to join our team. As the first point of contact for patients, the PSR plays a key role in delivering an exceptional patient experience while performing phlebotomy and specimen processing with accuracy and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist patients, creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence.
- Perform blood draws (venipuncture) and prepare specimens for lab testing following established procedures.
- Explain procedures clearly and answer patient questions with empathy and professionalism.
- Verify patient information, ensuring proper labeling of specimens and obtaining signatures when required.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with policies and regulations.
- Demonstrate leadership behaviors, process excellence, and sensitivity to patient confidentiality.
- Work in various locations as needed, including doctor’s offices, patient service centers, or other business locations.
- Maintain a safe, professional, and organized work environment.
- Perform daily activities accurately and on time under supervision.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in phlebotomy or a related patient services role.
- Strong phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric draws.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.
- Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record if applicable.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and demonstrate superior attention to detail.
- Commitment to company policies, procedures, dress code, and guiding principles.
- Punctuality and consistent attendance are required; excessive absenteeism or tardiness may result in termination.
