Schedule: 37.5 hours/week, 5 days/week
Pay Rate: $68/hour negotiable (**Per-diem rates are also applicable for qualified candidates)
Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and certified CT Technologist to join our Radiology department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic CT scans, ensuring equipment is properly calibrated, and adhering to radiation safety protocols. You will also handle patient injections, manage radiopharmaceuticals, and maintain patient records for radiologist interpretation.

Shift: Monday-Friday, 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM (Training: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM)
Location: Brooklyn, NY

Contract Type: Local

Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and certified CT Technologist to join our Radiology department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic CT scans, ensuring equipment is properly calibrated, and adhering to radiation safety protocols. You will also handle patient injections, manage radiopharmaceuticals, and maintain patient records for radiologist interpretation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform CT procedures using appropriate kV and mA techniques to ensure high-quality images.
- Conduct daily calibration checks on all equipment to ensure proper function.
- Administer radioactive material to patients per physician orders, following prescribed protocols.
- Maintain documentation for logs, manuals, and charge documents, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Perform quality control, safety tests, and follow ALARA guidelines for radiation safety.
- Retrieve and manage patient films and electronic data for radiologist interpretation.
- Order and verify patient-specific radiopharmaceutical doses prior to use.
- Ensure proper receipt and activity level of radiopharmaceuticals upon delivery.
- Licensing: New York State License (L.R.T), ARRT certification in Radiography and CT, BLS certification.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of CT experience.
- Education: Graduate of Radiologic Technology program.

Skills:
- Proficient in performing CT procedures according to prescribed protocols.
- Ability to exercise appropriate judgment to assess and respond to patient needs.
- Strong understanding of radiation safety and adherence to the ALARA principle.
- CT Certification is REQUIRED to be considered for this role (No exceptions).
- Shift Details: Monday-Friday, 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM, with training from 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM.
- On-Call: Not required.
