Job Title: R&D Technician II
Location: Onsite – Arden Hills, MN 55112
Duration: 6-month W2 contract with a high possibility of extension based on performance and business needs
Shift Timing: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM CST (some flexibility available)
Pay Range: $25–$28/hour (W2)

Job Summary:
The R&D Technician II will support research and development testing of medical products, including leads and catheters. The role primarily involves mechanical testing with some electrical testing, requiring strong attention to detail, precise setup, and accurate data collection.
Job Details / Responsibilities:
- Perform primarily mechanical testing such as pull testing, flex testing, torque testing, and extension/retraction testing
- Conduct limited high-voltage and current testing as required
- Set up and operate semi-automated test equipment with meticulous attention to detail
- Accurately follow test protocols and document results
- Perform a variety of tests including tensile testing, fatigue testing, electrical testing, and X-ray analysis
- Exact testing assignments will depend on candidate skills and aptitude
- Some testing may be repetitive for short periods; versatility and adaptability are essential
- Electrical or mechanical troubleshooting is uncommon
Quality Systems Responsibilities:
- Build quality into all aspects of work
- Maintain compliance with all applicable quality system requirements
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Associate’s Degree or equivalent work experience in a related discipline (assembler, operator, test technician)
- Minimum of 1 year of related experience
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Experience using test equipment related to tensile, force, and flex testing
- Familiarity with HiPot testing, micro-product measurement, and electrical measurement systems is preferred
- Experience operating complex equipment is a plus; training will be provided as needed
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately capture and document data
- Proficient PC skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and file management
- Ability to work independently and read, interpret, and follow written instructions
