Job Title: Surgical Tech 2

Shift: 3rd (Noc 7/70)
Schedule: 4 Days Per Week, 40 Hours Per Week, 10 Hours Per Day
Additional Scheduling Notes: Weekends required, On-call required, Cardiac/Vascular transplant unit

Job Summary:
As a member of the healthcare team, collaborates with the surgical team to provide care for the patient, ensuring that the goals of the patients are met and the mission of the hospital is carried out. Performs procedures in a variety of specialties requiring knowledge and skills. Demonstrates a higher level of collaboration with peers in making decisions related to surgical patient care. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills:
Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required

• Completion of a Surgical Technologist Program

• Completion of a Military Training Program as an Operating Room Specialist

• Completion of a Froedtert Health sponsored Apprentice II Program

• Ten or more years of experience as a Surgical Tech

Licensure & Certifications:

• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent

Required Skills & Experience:

• Two years of full-time equivalent experience as a Surgical Technologist

• Performs procedures in a variety of specialties requiring knowledge and skills

• Demonstrates a higher level of collaboration with peers in making decisions related to surgical patient care
