Job Description:
The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) represents the face of the company to patients who come in for routine healthcare or critical health decisions. The PSR I is responsible for drawing quality blood samples and preparing specimens for lab testing while adhering to established practices and procedures. This role involves direct interaction with patients, where the PSR I fosters an environment of trust and confidence by explaining procedures clearly and performing blood draws in a safe, accurate, and skillful manner. The PSR I is expected to demonstrate Leadership Behaviors, focusing on process excellence and maintaining sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy in patient information.

Key Responsibilities:

• Under the direction of the area supervisor, perform daily activities accurately and on time.

• Maintain a safe, professional, and welcoming environment.

• Confidently handle both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing, following established practices and procedures.

• Maintain accurate records and documentation.

• Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image of the company to patients, clients, employees, and the public.

Job Requirements:

• Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.

• Excellent phlebotomy skills, including experience with pediatric and geriatric patients.

• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, which includes weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.

Required Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent REQUIRED.

• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.

• Phlebotomy certification preferred (Required in California, Nevada, and Washington).

Work Experience:

• Minimum of 6 months of experience REQUIRED.

• One (+) year of phlebotomy experience preferred.

• Experience in customer service within a retail or service environment preferred.
