Job Title: Phlebotomist I
Location: Aventura, FL
Job Duration: 4+ Months (with possibility of extension)
Shift Timings:
- Monday to Friday: 6:30 AM – 3:30 PM
- Rotational Saturday: 6:30 AM – 11:00 AM (at a different facility)
Job Summary:
The Phlebotomist I / Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) serves as the face of the organization, interacting directly with patients for routine health checks or critical diagnostic procedures. This role involves collecting high-quality blood specimens and preparing them for laboratory testing, while ensuring patient comfort, safety, and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the supervision of the area supervisor.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and professional environment.
- Collect and process forensic and clinical specimens following established procedures.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Build trust and confidence with patients by explaining procedures and ensuring a positive experience.
- Demonstrate leadership behaviors and process excellence.
- Promote a positive image of the organization to patients, clients, and the public.
Requirements:
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (Required)
- Medical Assistant or Paramedic training (Preferred)
- Phlebotomy Certification (Preferred; Required in CA, NV, WA)
Experience:
- Minimum 6 months of phlebotomy experience (Required)
- 1+ years of phlebotomy experience (Preferred)
- Customer service experience in retail or service environment (Preferred)
- Keyboard/data entry skills (Required)
Skills & Attributes:
- Strong phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric draws.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.
- Reliable transportation (rideshare/bus not considered reliable).
- Punctuality and full-shift availability are mandatory.
Additional Information:
- Candidates must list their home city and commute time on their resume.
- Commute time to the worksite must be within 20–25 minutes.
- Rate is based on years of direct experience (overlapping roles do not count twice).
- Excessive absenteeism or tardiness will result in termination.
