Duration: 04/27/2026 – 06/20/2026
Shift: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Schedule: 5 days/week, 7 hrs/day, 35 hrs/week, No on-call
Schedule Notes: Work Schedule: Full time; Hours Per Week: 35; Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday; Shift time: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM; Work location: Hybrid; Patient Facing: No; Minimum education level: High school; Language competencies: English required, bilingual a plus
Work Setting: Managed Care / Health Plan
Pay Range: $70-$75/hr.
Position Overview
Claims UAT is the last stage of the testing process prior to production move. The Claims UAT Tester is the primary Claims Tester responsible for validating that all business requirements have been fulfilled before releasing the product to production. The UAT tester performs positive and negative testing to identify and ensure defects are corrected prior to implementation. The role develops and follows test plans aligned with standard UAT quality practices and acts as a subject matter expert for Claims Operations system applications, ensuring consistency of information across the department.
Key Responsibilities
- Work as a subject matter expert in testing and validating that business requirements have been implemented prior to project go-live
- Lead and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) events to verify solutions meet business requirements
- Create and manage UAT plans for assigned projects
- Perform UAT planning, test case specification, test execution, defect management, and status reporting
- Participate in data mining and review forum activities to understand requirements, business processes, and solution design
- Understand system scope, project objectives, and team roles to effectively coordinate activities
- Collaborate with IT, CORE, Claims teams, and Business Analysts
- Identify and manage risks, issues, mitigation plans, and action items to closure
- Ensure alignment with project timelines and successful delivery
- Perform additional duties as assigned by Claims Quality leadership
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 5+ years of information technology quality assurance and systems/application testing experience
- Strong experience in User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Experience creating test plans, test cases, test procedures, test scripts, and expected results
- Experience with unit, integration, and system testing
- Ability to interface with functional and technical Business Analysts and translate business requirements into test scenarios
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data mining skills
- Ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines, and multi-task
- Ability to work with users to understand objectives and provide structure to meet those objectives
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Experience collaborating across cross-functional teams
- Ability to adapt to changes in scope and timelines
- Knowledge and experience of medical care, government programs, and commercial lines of business
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
Education
- High School diploma required
- Bachelor’s degree or 8+ years of related work experience post high school
