Phlebotomist III - Floater
Title:Phlebotomist III - Floater
Location: Atlanta, GA
Shift: Monday- Friday 8am-5pm
Duration: 5 months
Job Summary:
The PSR III represents the company’s face to patients, providing a positive and trustworthy experience while drawing blood samples and preparing them for lab testing. They ensure accuracy and follow established procedures in both clinical and forensic specimen collection. The PSR III also verifies patient information and maintains confidentiality, all while demonstrating leadership, professionalism, and sensitivity. This role requires flexibility, as floaters may work at multiple locations based on business needs.
Key Responsibilities:

Draw blood samples and prepare specimens for testing.

Ensure accurate patient demographic verification and post-venipuncture labeling.

Maintain a safe, organized, and professional environment.

Demonstrate excellent customer service and promote a positive company image.

Travel between multiple locations as required.
Job Requirements:
-
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting.

Excellent phlebotomy skills for pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.

Flexibility for weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.

Reliable transportation with a clean driving record.

Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience (including pediatric, geriatric).

Medical assistant or paramedic training and phlebotomy certification preferred.

Strong organizational and customer service skills.

Must adhere to all policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
Additional Details:

Must have reliable transportation to job sites.

Floaters are reimbursed for mileage.

Candidates must be available and punctual for scheduled shifts.
Education & Experience:
-
High school diploma or equivalent.
-
3 years of phlebotomy experience required.
-
Previous experience in a Patient Service Center or customer service role preferred.
