Location: Summerville, SC
Duration: 3+ Months (Potential for Extension) Contract Role
Shift: Monday – Friday Monday–Friday, 07:00 AM to 3:30PM

Job Summary:
Under the supervision of certified radiologists and following established protocols, the Nuclear Medicine Technologist will perform diagnostic imaging procedures, ensuring high-quality results for interpretation. The technologist is responsible for patient care and safety during procedures, adherence to radiation safety standards, and the instruction of student technologists as assigned. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to patient-centered care, efficient use of imaging equipment, and effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.

Note:
- Travel and Per Diem Packages Available (Based on Eligibility)
- Candidates must have the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association (SCRQSA) license in hand prior to start

The technologist is responsible for patient care and safety during procedures, adherence to radiation safety standards, and the instruction of student technologists as assigned. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to patient-centered care, efficient use of imaging equipment, and effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform nuclear medicine procedures in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort, using appropriate age-specific care practices.
- Instruct and prepare patients for imaging procedures; obtain informed consent when necessary.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
- Supervise and mentor student technologists as needed.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure appropriate documentation in the imaging system.
- Practice radiation safety in accordance with ALARA principles and regulatory guidelines (DHEC, TJC, OSHA).
- Collaborate with team members across the Imaging department to ensure smooth workflow and high-quality patient care.
- Contribute to department goals, quality improvement initiatives, and continuous education.
Qualifications:
- Required: Certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology (e.g., ARRT-N or NMTCB)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledge of relevant regulatory standards (OSHA, DHEC, TJC)
- Proficiency in operating imaging and standard office equipment
- Professional demeanor and strict adherence to confidentiality protocols
