Material Handler

Job Title: Material Handler
Location: Ward Hill, MA 01835
Shift Hours: 8-5 M-F
Duration: 12+ months (possible extension)

Pay rate range: 19.00 - 20.00/hr on W2

Position Objective:

To provide shipping, receiving, storage, and order fulfillment services for finished goods, inventory, materials, supplies, parts, and equipment at the assigned facility(ies).

Essential Functions:

• Shipping & Receiving:
  • Pick, pack, sort, arrange, count, store, and correctly process items for storage and/or shipment according to established procedures and customer requirements.
  • Ensure high-quality standards are maintained, ensuring customers receive the correct product on time.
  • Receive materials and/or finished goods daily; verify quality, type, and amount of materials received, ensuring appropriate documentation is present (e.g., packing list).
• Warehouse Environment:
  • Work in varying temperature conditions, including:
    • Room temperature (59–86°F)
    • Cold-room (36–46°F)
    • Freezer-room (minus 4–23°F)
• Equipment Operation:
  • Safely operate distribution equipment, as required.

Nice to have:

• Experience in logistics with a life science company is preferred.

Required Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of material handling, inventory, shipping, or warehouse.
• Basic computer skills (ERP systems, Outlook, and shipping software).
• Must be able to operate powered industrial trucks and equipment at varying heights.
