The role involves working closely with R&D scientists and leaders to fabricate, modify, and maintain experimental apparatus while ensuring compliance with safety standards.

General Summary:
The Lab Technician will support research and development activities by conducting laboratory and pilot-scale experiments, analyzing data, and assisting with production-scale membrane casting. The role involves working closely with R&D scientists and leaders to fabricate, modify, and maintain experimental apparatus while ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare laboratory formulations and chemical solutions.
- Conduct laboratory screenings of new membrane formulations.
- Support pilot-scale and production-scale membrane casting runs.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret experimental data.
- Fabricate or modify experimental and manufacturing equipment.
- Assist in developing new testing methods or procedures.
- Maintain laboratory inventory, conduct safety audits, and ensure lab upkeep.
- Adhere to strict safety policies and guidelines.
- Perform other general laboratory and administrative tasks as needed.
Required Education:
- Candidate should hold minimum Associate degree or higher Education Major in Chemistry, Physics, Materials Science, Polymer Science, Biology or hold High School Diploma with 2-3 years of laboratory experience in lieu of a degree.
Required Experience:
- Candidate should have some background in laboratory environment.
- Critical thinking & problem-solving – Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting.
- Attention to detail – Careful observation and precision in work.
- Strong collaboration skills – Ability to work in an interdisciplinary, fast-paced team environment.
- Effective communication – Strong verbal and written skills.
- Time management – Ability to prioritize and multitask efficiently.
- Adaptability – Open to learning and adjusting to new processes.
