Locations: Morrisville, NC & Pittsburgh, PA (4 days on-site, 1 remote flexible)

Job Summary:
The Procurement Manager – Category drives the execution of global category strategies across multiple sites, delivering cost savings, risk mitigation, and supplier performance improvements. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams—including sourcing, operations, technical, and finance—to implement strategic sourcing initiatives, negotiate contracts, manage supplier relationships, and ensure alignment with long-term business objectives.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute 3–5 year global category strategies, identifying and contracting with preferred suppliers.
• Manage strategic contracts, supplier performance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Monitor market intelligence and trends to refine category plans and support business needs.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration to align sourcing activities with organizational goals.
• Conduct supplier business reviews and drive negotiations for global agreements.
• Support migration of spend from incumbent to preferred suppliers and rationalize supplier base.

 
Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or technical field; Master’s preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of procurement/sourcing experience in mid- to large-scale multinational companies.
• Strong experience in category management, supplier negotiations, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience in regulated industries (life sciences, medical device, pharmaceutical) preferred.
• CPSM or equivalent preferred; hands-on manufacturing or supply chain experience a plus.
• Ability to travel 25–50%.

• Experience with injection molding.
• Track record in continuous improvement initiatives and achieving measurable results.
