Phlebotomist I
Title: Phlebotomist I
Location: Plantation, FL, 33322
Shift: Eastern 8:00am-5:00pm Monday- Friday 6:30am-11:30am every Saturday.
Duration: 4 Months
Job Summary:
The PSR I serves as the primary point of contact for patients, representing the company in a professional and compassionate manner. This role involves drawing quality blood specimens, preparing them for lab testing, and maintaining accuracy and confidentiality in all patient interactions. The PSR I ensures a safe, professional environment and performs clinical and forensic specimen collection with precision and adherence to established procedures.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform daily patient services and specimen collection tasks accurately and on time.

Maintain a safe, professional, and compliant environment for patients and staff.

Collect and process clinical and forensic specimens following established procedures.

Maintain accurate records and documentation of specimens and patient information.

Demonstrate professionalism and create trust and confidence with patients during procedures.

Promote a positive image of the organization to patients, clients, employees, and the public.

Support process excellence, confidentiality, and accuracy in all duties.
Qualifications & Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required.
-
Medical training (Medical Assistant or Paramedic) preferred.

Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in CA, NV, WA).

Minimum 6 months of direct experience in a clinical environment; 1+ years of phlebotomy experience preferred.

Strong customer service skills; experience in retail or service settings is a plus.

Proficiency in keyboard/data entry and recordkeeping.

Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, on-call shifts, and overtime.

Reliable personal transportation and ability to commute within 20–25 minutes of worksite.

Knowledge of infection-control, safety, and HIPAA/CLIA compliance.
