Location:

Department: OBSTETRICS AND GYNECOLOGY ADMINISTRATION
Schedule: Monday to Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Contract Duration: 60 Days
Interview Requirement: In-person interview is mandatory
Hourly rate: $56/hour negotiable


Role Overview:
The Ultrasound Technologist will conduct and assist in ultrasound examinations, primarily within an OBGYN setting, ensuring high standards of diagnostic imaging. This role supports radiologists, maintains ultrasound equipment, and ensures patient safety and comfort throughout procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and examine patients for ultrasound procedures in line with departmental protocols.
  • Operate and adjust ultrasound equipment, ensuring adherence to safety standards.
  • Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance of ultrasound equipment.
  • Monitor and manage inventory of required supplies.
  • Assist in onboarding and mentoring new ultrasound technologists.
  • Capture diagnostic images and transfer them to PACS and physician workstations.
  • Manage scheduling, answer phones, and assist with exam coordination and patient transportation as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required Education:
  • Associate Degree in Diagnostic Medical Technology
    OR
  • High School/G.E.D. plus completion of an accredited Ultrasound/Sonography program
Required Certifications:
  • ARDMS – Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
Preferred Experience:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist
  • Strong background in OBGYN sonography across all trimesters
    (Note: Vascular-only techs will not be considered)
Skills & Competencies:
  • Proficiency in ultrasound procedures within obstetrics and gynecology
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and PACS systems
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and patient care skills
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality
  • Ability to solve problem and work independently
  • Knowledge of administrative and office practices
