Job Title: Phlebotomist II
Location: New Bern, NC 28560
Duration: 6 Months+ with possibility of an extension


Shift: Monday thru Friday window from 8 AM to 7 PM
 
Job Description:
The Phlebotomist II is responsible for collecting and preparing blood samples for lab testing while ensuring a positive patient experience. This role involves maintaining a safe and professional environment, accurate record-keeping, and strict adherence to procedures. Successful applicants may work in patient service centers, doctor’s offices, or other locations as needed.
 
Responsibilities:

• Perform specimen collection with a focus on quality and safety, including pediatric and geriatric patients.
• Verify patient information and ensure proper labeling of specimens in the patient’s presence.
• Maintain accurate documentation and handle specimens according to established guidelines.
• Provide exceptional customer service and ensure a professional environment.
• Support multiple locations as needed, including occasional travel and flexible scheduling.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred (mandatory in California, Nevada, and Washington).
• Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
• Reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record.
• Ability to work independently in a high-volume setting and manage multiple priorities.
   

• Reliable transportation is mandatory (bus, Uber, or rideshare is not acceptable).
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Flexibility for weekends, holidays, on-call shifts, and overtime as needed.
• Must demonstrate punctuality and consistent attendance.
• Candidates must reside within a 20–25-minute commute of the worksite to ensure reliable and timely travel.
• Consistent and reliable attendance is essential for success in this role.
