Title: Payroll Specialist
Location: Plainsboro NJ - Hybrid 3 Days a week in Office
Contract: 9 Months and Possibility of Extension
Local to Princeton, NJ. Frequency in office will be a minimum of 1-2 days/ week.
About the Role
As a Payroll Specialist at Client Client, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate and compliant payroll operations for over 2,500 employees across the US and Canada. You will collaborate with HR, Finance, and external vendors to deliver seamless payroll services using advanced systems and technology.
Key Responsibilities
-Manage timely and accurate payroll processing for US and Canada using ADP Workforce Now (Canada) and SuccessFactors/SAP Payroll (US).
-Ensure compliance with federal, state, and provincial tax regulations; register entities with tax authorities and resolve tax notices.
-Validate payroll for expatriates and stock option processing in partnership with external providers.
-Oversee year-end activities, including W-2 and T4 issuance and testing.
Generate ad hoc payroll reports using SAP and ADP reporting tools.
-Support system enhancements and integration projects; perform configuration, testing, and validation in SuccessFactors, SAP, and ADP Workforce Now.
-Assist with internal and external audits (benefits, pension, workers compensation) through accurate reconciliation of payroll and tax data.
What Were Looking For
Experience: 7+ years in US and Canadian payroll operations.
Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now, SuccessFactors, and SAP Payroll; strong MS Office and reporting analytics skills.
Compliance Knowledge: Expertise in US FLSA, IRS regulations, and Canadian employment standards.
Certifications: PCP (Payroll Compliance Practitioner) or CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) preferred.
Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and commitment to continuous improvement.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to thrive in a fast-paced, global environment.
