Financial Counselor Supervisor
Job Title: Financial Counselor Supervisor
Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin, 53226
Duration: 02/23/2026 – 08/24/2026
Schedule Notes:
-
Shift: Monday - Friday 8am-430pm.
Onsite at Milwaukee Facility 3 times per week. -
Travel to West Bend and Menomonee Falls facility 1x per month.

Travel required to Manitowoc facility 1x per month.
-
Remote 1 day per week (subject to change due to business needs)
Schedule: 5 days/week, 8 hours/day, 40 hours/week, no weekends, no on-call

Education
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Management, Social Work, or related field (Required)
-
In lieu of degree, additional minimum four (4) years progressively responsible experience in hospital financial counseling, patient access, or revenue cycle operations including at least two (2) years supervisory/leadership experience may be considered equivalent
Certifications
-
Federal and State Certified Application Counselor certification OR must obtain within first year of employment
Required Skills & Experience

Two (2) years management and leadership experience

Problem solving and well-developed analytical skills

Effective written and verbal communication skills

Computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel
Preferred Skills & Experience
-
Recent experience in Revenue Cycle, Social Work, or Case Management supervision

Epic ADT/Prelude and HB Resolute experience
Job Summary
Financial counseling including patient financial assessments, Federally Facilitated Exchange assistance, patient estimate and payment collection, cashiering, customer reception, and related Patient Financial Services operations.
Job Responsibilities

Ensure efficient daily operations of Patient Financial Services including financial counseling, customer service, and cashier services

Ensure Epic work queues are processed timely

Assist with Financial Assistance application workflow and processing

Communicate with Social Services, Case Management, and Registration to improve workflows
-
Monitor Certified Application Counselor certification and continuing education
-
Resolve patient complaints
-
Participate in operational planning and workflow improvements
-
Develop and implement policies and procedures and train staff
-
Hire, discipline, evaluate, and develop staff
-
Monitor productivity and quality metrics
-
Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations
-
Keep leadership informed of department activities
-
Other duties as assigned
