Phlebotomist II
Job Location: Newnan GA
Job Duration: 5-6 Months
Shift: Mon – Fri 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
Position Overview
The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) serves as the face of the organization, providing direct patient care during routine health services and critical, life-defining health decisions. The PSR II is responsible for performing high-quality blood draws and specimen processing while adhering to established practices, procedures, and confidentiality standards. This role emphasizes patient trust, safety, accuracy, and professionalism.
Assignments may include a doctor’s office, patient service center, or other locations based on business needs.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Perform daily work activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.

Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment.

Confidently perform both clinical and forensic specimen collection and processing in accordance with established procedures.

Verify patient identity and demographic information, including patient initials and signature post-venipuncture to confirm specimen labeling accuracy.

Prepare, label, and process specimens for laboratory testing.

Maintain required records and documentation with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.

Demonstrate leadership behaviors, process excellence, and organizational commitment.

Promote a positive image to patients, clients, coworkers, and the public.

Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.

Work Schedule & Flexibility

Flexible availability required, including weekends, holidays, on-call shifts, and overtime.

Travel and flexible hours required to support multiple Patient Service Center and in-office phlebotomy locations, sometimes with minimal notice.

Training locations may vary based on trainer availability.
Education Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent REQUIRED.

Medical training (Medical Assistant or Paramedic) preferred.

Phlebotomy certification preferred (REQUIRED in California, Nevada, and Washington).
Experience Requirements
-
1–3 years of phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
