Interview: manager will be conduction phone interviews for this role.
Candidates must have an active and unencumbered Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Florida.
Working environment in a climate controlled distribution center.
Shifts:
11am - 730pm M-F
This is a dual purpose tech role - time will be split between filling orders and packing them.
Selects, picks, packages and labels medications and ancillary supplies per prescriptions, under the direct supervision of a Pharmacist in accordance with the Client specialty guidelines and pharmacy laws.
Accurate counting of medications utilizing a manual process as well as any automated counting devices.
Exercise proper hands sanitization and hazardous medication handling practices.
Performs functions &/or responsibilities of an Operations Assistant as needed.
Responsible for preparing and/or restocking the filling station with medications and/or supplies as needed.
Responsible for cleaning for all pill counting devices/equipment and general working areas.
Experience*:
Six months of work experience as a pharmacy technician.
Prefer three months of work experience in a pick/pack/ship environment.
Prefer three months of work computer experience.
Able to utilize computer applications to enter data accurately and in line with production standards. Knows drug names and basic pharmacology knowledge. Understands medical terminology utilized in a Pharmacy. Able to collaborate with others to fill and ship accurate and timely orders. Able to perform Ops Assistant responsibilities. Must be able to recognize limitations on decision-making Product and be able to escalate issues falling outside of that Product. Pharmacy Technician registration required as prescribed by law or by Client policy. Must have understanding of basic Pharmacy law.
Must be able to stand for duration of shift (8-10 hours). Must be able to repeatedly lift 5-10 lbs. for duration of shift. Must be able to occasionally lift up to 30-50 lbs. during a shift. Reaching and grasping objects at various levels is required. While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is required to utilize a keyboard and operate departmental machinery. Employee regularly works near and around moving machinery (conveyor belts).The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The employee may be required to wear protective clothing or equipment.

Education:
Verifiable High School diploma or GED is required.
Candidates must have an active and unencumbered Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Florida.
