Payroll Analyst
Job Title: Payroll Analyst
Job Location: King Of Prussia, PA 19406
Job Duration: 7 Months +(Long term contract)
Shift hours: Day shift / hybrid position
Job description:
This is a long-term contract, so there is no end date. It is a hybrid position, so there will be 2/3 specific days of the week required in office.
The candidate is an experienced Payroll professional with expertise in processing payroll for employees across multiple states. This includes paying wages, withholding and reporting taxes, and administering benefits. Processed Biweekly for approximately 3,500 employees with 5 entities. Responsible for record-keeping of vacations, taxable wages, earnings, and deductions, organizational chart changes, cost centers, OM&CPM, work location, and schedule changes. Experienced in employee data processing related to payroll, benefits, training, SAP Payroll, SuccessFactors HRMS and Kronos/UKG timekeeping experience all a plus and attendance using HRMS software. Resolved timecard discrepancies, ran reports, reviewed and made historical edits, and processed tax withholdings
Responsibilities:
- cover support of the payroll function plus general support:
- Payroll Support • Handle routine entry of routine payroll change requests (Banking, W4, Additional Payments/Deductions)
- Check payroll bank account daily for ACH returns and employee direct deposit information corrections/updates and handle reissue of funds via wire transfer or payroll accordingly
- Handle electronic pay statement and W-2 system password resets and access/registration issues
- Document, update and maintain all payroll processes and procedures
- Investigate/Research/Respond/Track employee payroll inquiries
- Ensure assigned Kronos non-exempt timesheets are entered and verified prior to finalizing payroll
- Track assigned KOP Kronos non-exempt employee approvers and back-up approvers
- Handle uploading non-Kronos time files and verifications for payroll processing
- Assist with Biweekly payroll close and result reviews assigned
- Back-up for post-payroll processing A/P wire and check support documentation as assigned
- Maintenance of Unemployment HR Contact lists and back-up for Unemployment Compensation Management process
- Handle requests for copies of pay statements and W-2s for Legal Subpoenas, Earnings Verifications for Garnishments and Global Mobility
- Handle wire transfers for missing payments or terminations based on state requirements and maintenance of wires/checks/payroll tracking log
- Maintenance of Payroll Vendor and Site Contact Lists
- Handling Department Daily Mail/cash receipts of any incoming employee repayments
- Train as back-up support for other payroll department responsibilities
- Maintenance of payroll file room including filing, organizing and archiving
- Opportunity to handle more complex payroll related responsibilities with the proper skill set
- Review and completion of Experian Verify employment verifications
- Assist with year-end meeting minutes and checklists updates as assigned
- Schedule and coordinate interdepartmental meetings
- Assist in special projects as required including acquisitions and divestitures
Context And Environment
- Must input data into SAP HRMS modules timely and accurately and understand the impact of this input on other HR processes (such as payroll, benefits, metrics and reporting).
- Requires knowledge of HR policies/procedures, and an understanding of the interrelationship between those policies/procedures and SAP HRMS.
- Must be able to respond timely and effectively to inquiries from all levels of Company personnel.
- Need to prioritize calls and requests.
Requirements:
- High School degree is required, but a higher degree is preferred
- Four years of experience in either Payroll, HR or other corporate environment is required.
- Trained and proficient in the principles, practices and standard of Payroll/HR Administration.
- Familiarity with and working knowledge of Payroll/HR processes is required.
- Experience with computerized HRMS systems is required
- Experience and proficiency with SAP is highly preferred.
- Experience and proficiency in multi-state payroll processing is preferred
- Ability and willingness to learn new systems and processes, especially Payroll/HR processes and SAP HR processes is required.
- Data entry experience is required.
