Pay range: $3500 to $3700 per week/on W2
Position Overview:
We are seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to join our healthcare team in Salinas, California. This is a patient-focused, high-impact role within an inpatient hospital setting. The Clinical Pharmacist will work under the supervision of the Director of Pharmacy and Clinical Pharmacy Coordinator to ensure safe, effective, and evidence-based medication management.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to join our healthcare team in Salinas, California. This is a patient-focused, high-impact role within an inpatient hospital setting. The Clinical Pharmacist will work under the supervision of the Director of Pharmacy and Clinical Pharmacy Coordinator to ensure safe, effective, and evidence-based medication management.
Responsibilities:
- Review and optimize patient medication regimens to ensure safety, accuracy, and therapeutic effectiveness
- Identify and mitigate adverse drug events, therapeutic duplications, and medication interactions
- Ensure medication dosages are appropriate based on patient age, renal function, and liver function
- Participate in clinical rounds, interdisciplinary meetings, and patient care conferences
- Educate patients and families on medication usage when needed
- Provide drug information and in-service training to nursing, medical, and ancillary staff
- Support clinical protocols, pain management plans, and emergency code responses
- Maintain accurate medication records in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Perform dispensing and other pharmacy duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Doctorate degree in Pharmacy (BS Pharm, MS, or PharmD preferred)
- Current and active California Pharmacist License (Required)
- BLS Certification through the American Heart Association (Required)
- Minimum of 5 years of inpatient hospital pharmacy experience (Required)
- Experience with Meditech Electronic Health Record (EHR) system (Required)
