Job Title: Sonographer
Job Location: Morristown, NJ
Job Duration: 3 Months (possibility of extension)
Shift: A position: Sunday, Monday, Thursday, Friday, 9:30am - 7:30pm; B Position: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, 9:30am - 7:30pm
Payrate: $60/ hr on w2

Duties:

• Prepares patient for examination focusing on patient comfort and satisfaction, explains the procedure in easy-to-understand terms, performs ultrasound procedures, relieves patients of pre-testing anxiety and directly observes and monitors the patient during the entire process.
• Sets-up equipment to administer procedures in a timely fashion.
• Carefully reviews prior reports and images, and patient chart.
• Ensures that proper images have been obtained, studies are complete and thorough, appropriate techniques have been employed, reader is notified.
• Maintains records and logs exams performed.
• Maintains control of inventory and purchases of supplies for the assigned area.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Education:

• High School Diploma or GED required.

Preferred Education:

• Graduate of CAAHEP or ABHES Cardiovascular Technology Program preferred.

Required Certifications & Licensure:

• Registered Cardiac Diagnostic Medical Sonographer with American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from American.
