Phlebotomist II
Job Location: Franklin IN
Job Duration: 1-2 Months (Possibility of Extension)
Shift: Mon - Fri 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
Job Summary
The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) serves as the face of the company, providing direct patient interaction during routine health visits and critical, life-defining health decisions. This role is responsible for collecting high-quality blood specimens and preparing them for laboratory testing in a safe, accurate, and professional manner. The PSR II builds trust with patients by clearly explaining procedures and demonstrating confidence, compassion, and technical skill.
The PSR II demonstrates leadership behaviors, process excellence, and a strong commitment to confidentiality, accuracy, and patient-centered care. Assignments may include a doctor’s office, patient service center, or other locations based on business needs.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Care & Specimen Collection

Perform clinical and forensic specimen collection and processing according to established practices and procedures.

Draw blood specimens skillfully, safely, and accurately.

Perform pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections with confidence.

Verify patient demographic information and initials.

Obtain patient signature post-venipuncture to confirm specimen labeling accuracy and presence.
Operations & Compliance

Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.

Maintain required records and documentation.

Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.

Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment.

Job Requirements

Keyboarding and data entry proficiency.

Self-sufficient; single-person IOP environment.
Scheduling & Flexibility

Flexible availability required, including weekends, holidays, on-call shifts, and overtime.

Willingness to travel and work flexible hours across multiple locations with minimal notice.

Training locations may vary based on trainer availability.
Transportation

Reliable transportation required.

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (if applicable).
Education Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent (required).

Medical training (medical assistant or paramedic) preferred.

Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington).
Work Experience

1–3 years of phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
