Job Title: Medical Assistant
Job Location: South Lyon, MI
Job Duration: 3 Months (possibility of extension)
Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm

Job Summary:

• The Clinical Assistant supports the examination and treatment of patients/participants under the direction of a physician.
• This role includes assisting with clinical procedures, patient care activities, and basic administrative duties.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with treatments ordered by the physician under the supervision of a physician or registered nurse.
• Perform selected clinical duties as assigned.
• Interview patients/participants, record medical history, measure vital signs, and document information in patient charts.
• Prepare examination and treatment rooms for patient visits.
• Perform basic clerical duties, including answering phones, maintaining records, and filing documentation.
• Manage materials and supplies, including ordering, stocking, and inventory maintenance.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly clinical environment.

Personal Protective Equipment:

• Adhere to Standard Precautions and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

Education Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• One (1) year of applicable cumulative, job-specific experience.

Licensure / Certification:

• BLS Provider Certification.

Skills & Work Environment:

• Demonstrates critical thinking, sound judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Able to function effectively in a fast-paced and occasionally stressful environment.
