The ideal candidate will have proven experience managing large capital infrastructure projects—including data center operations, network upgrades, facility connectivity, and vendor management.
This role requires someone who takes ownership of delivery, drives progress, manages cross-functional teams, and ensures adherence to scope, budget, and schedule. Candidates should be fluent in predictive/waterfall methodologies and possess deep experience navigating governance, risk management, and vendor oversight in enterprise IT environments.

This role requires someone who takes ownership of delivery, drives progress, manages cross-functional teams, and ensures adherence to scope, budget, and schedule. Candidates should be fluent in predictive/waterfall methodologies and possess deep experience navigating governance, risk management, and vendor oversight in enterprise IT environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage full project lifecycle for IT infrastructure initiatives ($100K – $1M), including:
- WAN/circuit connectivity
- Data center migration
- Building renovations
- Security architecture
- Network configurations and upgrades
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, risk mitigation plans, and resource allocations
- Drive vendor selection via RFP process, negotiate Statements of Work (SOW), and monitor vendor performance
- Facilitate project governance, including sponsor communication, steering committee engagement, and stakeholder alignment
- Monitor project KPIs and report status to senior leadership and key stakeholders
- Ensure strict adherence to compliance standards, particularly within regulated utility environments
- Utilize Microsoft Project for planning and tracking; experience with MS Project Online and SAP is a plus
- Promote cross-functional collaboration and guide multidisciplinary teams to project success
Required Qualifications:
- 6+ years of IT project management experience, with a strong focus on infrastructure and network environments
- PMP certification required
- Demonstrated success managing projects with budgets of $3M+ and teams of 15+
- Hands-on experience with waterfall/predictive methodologies
- Proven track record in managing vendor contracts, including RFPs, SOWs, and performance tracking
- Strong risk management, budget control, and resource planning skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, with comfort interfacing with executive leadership
- Proficient in Microsoft Project (required); MS Project Online and SAP (preferred)
Nice to Have Skills:
- Six Sigma (Blue or Black Belt) preferred
- Experience with Agile methodologies
- Prior experience in the utilities sector or other regulated industries
- Familiarity with hybrid project delivery environments
Soft Skills / Team Fit:
- Strong leadership and ownership mentality—this role is for a driver, not a passive facilitator
- Ability to lead and collaborate across various teams, including technical, operational, and business units
- High level of initiative, problem-solving, and autonomy
- Professionalism in written and verbal communication
Education Requirements:
- Minimum: High School Diploma or GED
- Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Engineering, Business, or related field
