Job Summary:
- We’re seeking a Digital Product Designer to help shape a world-class mobile experience powering a groundbreaking next-generation hardware product.
- This role will lead design efforts for iOS and Android apps, collaborating closely with engineering, QA, and UX Research to deliver intuitive, impactful, and visually consistent interfaces.
- The ideal candidate is a senior designer with deep experience in product design for mobile apps (bonus points for experience with hardware).
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design user interfaces and interactions for mobile apps (iOS and Android) and connected hardware experiences.
- Translate research insights and product requirements into wireframes, prototypes, and polished designs.
- Collaborate with engineers, QA, and product managers to ensure feasibility and quality throughout the development lifecycle.
- Partner with UX Research to iterate designs based on user feedback and testing.
- Maintain and evolve design systems and documentation for cohesive, inclusive experiences across all touchpoints.
- Champion accessibility and usability design principles.
- Support operational planning and delivery of long-term initiatives for APV.
- Present design strategy and rationale to senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
Work Relationship:
- You’ll collaborate with client’s Advanced Product Ventures team, including product managers, engineers (hardware, firmware, software), QA, and UX researchers.
- You’ll be a key member of the Experience Squad, driving the vision and execution of digital experiences for athletes.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Visual Design, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience designing mobile apps, ideally for hardware products Experience collaborating with engineering and QA teams in Agile environments.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Proven track record of leading end-to-end design for consumer-facing digital products.
- Expertise in design tools like Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and prototyping platforms.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating mobile app design, hardware-connected experiences, and design system work.
- Deep understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1) and inclusive design.
- Excellent communication, storytelling, and facilitation skills.
- Ability to thrive in ambiguity and drive clarity through organized, actionable design steps.
- Comfortable presenting and facilitating discussions with senior leadership.
