Phlebotomist I
Title:Phlebotomist I
Location:Boca Raton, FL
Duration: 4 months
Shift:M-F 6:45am – 3:30pm with rotational weekends
Role Overview: The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) serves as the primary point of contact for patients visiting the company, whether for routine health care or critical health decisions. The PSR I is responsible for skillfully drawing blood samples from patients and preparing these specimens for lab testing, adhering to established procedures. This role requires direct interaction with patients, ensuring an environment of trust and safety while explaining procedures and performing blood draws accurately and professionally. The PSR I is expected to demonstrate leadership behaviors, focus on process excellence, and maintain confidentiality and accuracy regarding patient information.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform daily tasks accurately and within designated timelines under the supervision of the area supervisor.

Maintain a safe, professional work environment.

Confidently collect and process both forensic and clinical specimens following standard procedures.

Keep up-to-date and accurate records and documentation.

Promote a positive company image and demonstrate organizational commitment to patients, clients, and the public.
Job Requirements:

Ability to deliver high-quality, error-free work in a fast-paced setting.

Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.

Proficient in phlebotomy, including pediatric and geriatric patients.

Availability to work flexible hours based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.
Required Education:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred: Medical Assistant or Paramedic training.

Phlebotomy certification required in certain states (California, Nevada, and Washington).
Work Experience:

At least 6 months of experience required.

Preferred: 1+ years of phlebotomy experience.

Preferred: Customer service experience in retail or service environments.

Required: Keyboard/data entry experience.
