About the Role
- We are seeking a Footwear Product Test Engineer I to join our team based in Dallas, Texas.
- This position ensures that footwear fits and performs to the highest standards.
- The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, exceptional planning abilities, and be capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- The ability to analyze data and effectively communicate feedback is essential.
- Manage multiple projects with a focus on tennis footwear.
- Oversee all aspects of the product testing process, including planning, tester recruitment, running tests, data analysis, report writing, and program management.
- Leverage knowledge of footwear manufacturing processes and athlete performance needs to provide suggestions for materials, components, and construction improvements.
- Identify and communicate performance issues to be addressed prior to production.
- Serve as the primary testing contact for prioritized footwear projects.
- Work directly with the footwear product creation team to evaluate innovative new models.
- Engage with athletes to understand their needs and gather feedback on test products.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or 2 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a professional setting. Experience in product testing, development, marketing, engineering, retail, or customer service is preferred.
- Knowledge of footwear components, materials, and manufacturing processes is a strong advantage.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience working with athletes, coaches, and equipment managers.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with spreadsheet databases and statistical analysis tools.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
- Must be able to travel regionally using a personal vehicle.
- A passion for sport is a plus.
