Job Description:
Shift: 8am-5pm
Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for executing preventive and predictive maintenance tasks
2. Responsible for the operation of the primary equipment of the plant (chillers, dryers, compressors, cooling towers, HVAC, general lighting, pumping system)
3. Responsible for filling out forms related to maintenance activities such as preventive, predictive, or corrective maintenance
4. Lead by example in areas of cleanliness and organization of hand and power tools
5. Responsible for the movements and installation of machinery
6. Responsible for corrective maintenance tasks on the equipment
7. Responsible for the application of order and cleanliness in the department (5's).
8. Demonstrate the ability to develop and implement continuous improvement through the kaizen methodology using PPI tools.
9. Disassembles mechanical devices such as resin screws, barrels, cylinders, valves, pumps, and gearboxes to remove defective parts and make lasting repairs. Uses hoists, cranes, hand tools, power tools, and occasionally fabricated fixtures. Reassembles mechanical devices and installs new parts
10. Sets up and operates drill presses, grinders, welders, mills, lathes, and other metal working tools to fabricate and repair parts. Must have personal hand tools and toolbox
11. Follow and work following the Safety and Environment rules
12. Provide support within all areas
13. Participate in training sessions on environmental matters
14. Carry out tasks respecting the controls for environmental care and employee integrity
15. Maintain in optimal operating conditions the equipment for environmental operational control and/or that affect the environmental performance of the Environmental Management System
16. Participate in weekly talks on environment and safety
17. Participate in environmental training sessions
18. Identify and report relevant Hazard IDs
19. Perform duties as requested
20. Participate in PPI activities
Requirements for the position:
Associates of Applied since or related work Experience.
Preferably 3+ years of experience in maintenance to IMM and or plastic industry equipment or equivalent
