Job Summary:
The PSR III represents the face of our company to patients, whether they are visiting for routine care or important diagnostic services. This role involves drawing quality blood samples, preparing specimens for lab testing, and maintaining a professional and compassionate environment. The PSR III is expected to display strong leadership behaviors, process excellence, and maintain confidentiality and accuracy in all duties.

Job Summary:

This role involves drawing quality blood samples, preparing specimens for lab testing, and maintaining a professional and compassionate environment. The PSR III is expected to display strong leadership behaviors, process excellence, and maintain confidentiality and accuracy in all duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily activities under supervisor direction accurately and on time.
- Maintain a safe, professional, and clean work environment.
- Conduct clinical and forensic specimen collection and processing in line with established protocols.
- Verify patient demographics, obtain patient initials and signature post-venipuncture to confirm accurate labeling.
- Handle pediatric, geriatric, and capillary blood draws with skill and care.
- Maintain proper records and documentation.
- Create a positive and trusting environment for patients through clear communication and professionalism.
- Float between multiple sites as needed, often with minimal notice.
- Submit mileage for reimbursement when traveling between sites.
- Promote a positive image of the organization to patients, clients, and the public.
Job Requirements:
- Ability to produce accurate, quality work in a fast-paced environment.
- Can work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong phlebotomy skills across all patient age groups.
- Flexible and available for varied scheduling needs, including:
- Weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.
- Adhere to all policies including dress code, health & safety standards, and excellence principles.
- Sound judgment and decision-making based on procedures.
- Reliable personal transportation.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Clean driving record.
- Must be punctual and able to stay for entire shift.
- Must live within 20–25 minutes of assigned site.
- Must be able to travel to and arrive on time at multiple locations.
- Keyboard/data entry experience.
- Strong focus on customer service and communication.
- Adaptable to change with a collaborative mindset.
- Training may occur at different locations based on trainer availability.
Required Education & Certifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred: Medical assistant or paramedic training.
- Preferred: Phlebotomy certification.
- Required in: California, Nevada, and Washington.
Required Work Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience.
Additional Notes:
Floaters must:
- Be ready to travel to multiple sites.
- Be punctual at all times.
- Have a clean driving record.
- Submit mileage for reimbursement.
