Electro-Mechanical Assembler
Job Title: Electro-Mechanical Assembler
Location: Colorado Springs, CO 80919
Duration: 3 Months+ (Possible Extension)
Pay Rate: $19/hr. on W2
Shift: 4 days/week, 6:00 AM start (flexible), 10-hour shifts
Position Summary:
As an Electro-Mechanical Assembler, you will help maintain manufacturing processes that support production safety, delivery, cost, and quality goals. This hands-on role involves assembling electro-mechanical products, performing inspections for quality, maintaining 5S standards, and using both hand tools and large test equipment. The position requires a detail-oriented, safety-conscious team player who can work in a fast-paced production environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Apply 5S principles and work safely in all activities.
- Assemble electronic and mechanical components using assembly documentation and procedures.
- Perform in-process inspections to meet or exceed quality standards.
- Participate in Continuous Improvement programs.
- Document non-conformances and report issues.
- Assist in packaging large instruments for shipment.
- Operate and maintain complex test equipment.
- Perform other activities as assigned by the team lead or management.
Minimum Requirements / Qualifications:
- 1–3 years of electrical or mechanical assembly experience, or equivalent industrial experience.
- Use common hand and electronic assembly tools safely.
- Experience with cycle count programs and inventory part picking.
- Ability to work in a clean room environment.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Preferred Skills:
- Soldering experience.
- Familiarity with hand tools and precision assembly.
- Experience in documenting engineering change requests to address production or design issues.
