• Certification (must hold at least one): CBSPD, CRCST, CSPDT, CST

• Minimum 2 years’ experience

• Sterile Processing Management (SPM) software experience required

The Sterile Processing Technician II is responsible for cleaning, sterilization, processing, organizing, and distributing patient equipment, instruments, and supplies. This role also serves as a resource and mentor to Sterile Processing Technician I staff.

• Prepare rooms and organize instruments, equipment, trays, and supplies for various departments.

• Clean and decontaminate instruments, containers, and patient equipment per regulatory standards and facility policy.

• Operate semi-automatic and automatic sterilization equipment and washers.

• Inventory, order, replenish, and distribute instruments, equipment, and supplies for general and surgical needs.

• Maintain accurate records and files.

• Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and environmental standards.

• Provide in-service training and assist in mentoring junior staff.

• Knowledge of instrument sterilization methods and medical terminology.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Ability to comply with safety, infection control, and manufacturer guidelines.

• Commitment to teamwork and effective customer service.
