Working hours : 36 hrs per week



Technical Skills



Must Have

  • Experience administering tests and evaluations for students
  • Experience training Electrical Motor Controls for Integrated Systems
  • Hands-on instructional experience with:
    • PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers)
    • HMIs (Human Machine Interfaces)
    • Hardwired circuits
    • Safety circuits
  • Experience teaching Basic Electrical Training programs in Greensboro


Nice to Have

  • Experience teaching college-level electrical or technical programs
  • Industrial PC&IS (Process Control & Instrumentation Systems) experience
  • Knowledge of local electrical codes, laws, and NEC (National Electrical Code) standards


Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer / Instructor to support hands-on electrical training and engineering activities in an industrial environment. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in electrical systems along with experience teaching or training students in practical lab settings.



Key Responsibilities

  • Design, maintain, implement, and improve electrical systems, equipment, and components for industrial and commercial applications
  • Deliver hands-on electrical training programs and administer student testing/evaluations
  • Instruct students on:
    • PLC systems
    • HMIs
    • Hardwired circuits
    • Safety circuits
    • Electrical motor controls
  • Operate computer-assisted engineering and design software
  • Collaborate with customers, engineers, technicians, and project teams regarding electrical systems and projects
  • Ensure installations and operations comply with specifications, NEC codes, standards, and customer requirements
  • Prepare technical drawings, specifications, reports, and project documentation
  • Perform engineering calculations and support construction/manufacturing standards development
  • Coordinate installation, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities
  • Prepare material and equipment specifications and assist with procurement activities
  • Supervise or train junior team members and technicians
  • Estimate labor, material, and project costs for budgeting purposes
  • Maintain and troubleshoot electrical equipment and systems
