Job Title: Packaging Engineer / Scientist

Start Date: April 2026 - October 2026
Work Schedule: 20 hours/week (up to 30 hours/week)
Work Location: Hybrid (Onsite at Client facility required)




Job Summary

We are seeking a Packaging Engineer/Scientist to support market launch readiness for customized skincare products. This role will focus on packaging design, testing, validation, and supplier coordination to enable successful commercialization and cost optimization.




Key Responsibilities



Packaging Design & Development

  • Design and develop new packaging structures including cartons, blister packs/thermoforms, and corrugate solutions for product launches.
  • Collaborate with material suppliers and operations teams to create innovative and cost-effective packaging designs.
  • Support redesign initiatives to drive cost savings and efficiency improvements.


Testing & Validation

  • Develop, execute, and document test plans for packaging validation and qualification on operational equipment.
  • Coordinate testing activities with suppliers and internal operations teams.
  • Analyze results, document learnings, and provide recommendations for next steps.


Supplier & Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Work closely with material suppliers to iterate packaging designs and ensure timely execution.
  • Coordinate product sampling, shipping, and design iterations with external partners.
  • Lead and facilitate project meetings with internal stakeholders and suppliers.


Data & Documentation

  • Gather and analyze data to support packaging specifications and product launch requirements.
  • Collaborate with specification writers and suppliers to ensure accurate documentation.
  • Verify case weights, dimensions, and other critical packaging parameters.


Print & Supply Chain Quality

  • Support global print supply chain processes from design through production.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (Purchasing, MPD, Package Development) on supplier evaluations.
  • Lead root cause analysis and resolution of print quality issues.
  • Develop supplier scorecards and continuous improvement plans.
  • Ensure adherence to print quality standards and programs.



Required Skills & Qualifications



Mandatory

  • Strong experience in Packaging Design (cartons, blister packs/thermoforms, corrugate).
  • Hands-on experience in Packaging & Operational Testing, including working with material suppliers.
  • Ability to develop and execute test plans and validation protocols.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including leading cross-functional meetings and reporting.
  • Experience in packaging for product commercialization or launches.


Nice-to-Have

  • Experience with Client Enovia systems.
  • Background in a regulated industry (e.g., FMCG, pharma, skincare).
  • Knowledge of print quality processes and supply chain management.



Additional Information

  • Hybrid role requiring onsite presence at a Client facility.
  • Ideal candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment supporting new product launches.
