HR Assistant- Corporate Travel Agent
Job Title: HR Assistant - Corporate Travel Agent
Duration: 6-month W2 contract with high possibility of extension based on performance and business needs
Pay Range: $33 to $37/Hour on W2
Shift Timing: 9am-6pm EST
Basic Purpose and Objective:
The Corporate Travel Agent works together with the team to produce extraordinary results. This individual is also expected to be knowledgeable of the PPD Global travel policy to satisfy compliance of all PPD travellers and assist with meeting planning needs.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of airline / Hotel / rental car reservations systems an advantage
Negotiating contract rates for meeting space, sleeping rooms, catering, A/V, working with group housing bureaus, and payment information
High quality customer service skills
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Good verbal and written communication skills
Must be able to adapt to change
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to work independently and on a team
Education and Experience
High / Secondary school diploma or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification
25 years of experience in corporate travel coordination, travel agency operations, or administrative support. Some knowledge in the use of GDS systems preferably Sabre
Proficient with Microsoft packages including Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, OneNote, Outlook.
Experience with on-line booking Tools
Primary Accountabilities
Work with and assist the travel team as required with day-to-day tasks including but not limited to:
Assists in negotiating contract rates for meeting space, sleeping rooms, catering, A/V, working with group housing bureaus, and payment information.
Research lowest fare alternatives to reduce overall cost in all phases of the employees travel while remaining organized and patient while providing outstanding customer service.
Enforcing travel policy compliance while fulfilling travel requests. Reserve all airline reservations car and hotel for all PPD employees including New Hires, Recruits and Relocations.
Maximizing the use of GDS technology for all transactions.
Verifying if a visa or other documentation is required for all nationalities.
Managing Get There (Online Booking Tool) complaints / issues and promptly reporting to Travel Manager for resolution.
Call hotels for last minute cancellations.
GDS Queue work.
Email communications.
Ensures travel policy compliance.
Ability to work in call center environment
