Phlebotomist II
Location: Carmel IN
Duration: 2+ months
Shift : Monday - Friday: 8:30am - 5:30pm
Position Overview
The Patient Services Representative II serves as the primary point of contact for patients, ensuring a positive and professional experience during health screenings and diagnostic procedures. The PSR II is responsible for drawing high-quality blood samples, preparing specimens for laboratory testing, and upholding all safety, procedural, and confidentiality standards. This role requires strong phlebotomy skills, clear communication, and the ability to create an atmosphere of trust with patients. PSR IIs may work in doctor’s offices, Patient Service Centers, or other locations based on business needs.
Key Responsibilities
Daily Operations

Perform all daily duties accurately, efficiently, and on schedule under the direction of the area supervisor.

Maintain a safe, clean, and professional working environment.

Follow all established practices and procedures for forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing.
Patient Interaction & Specimen Collection

Draw blood specimens skillfully, safely, and accurately, including pediatric and geriatric patients.

Create a welcoming atmosphere and build patient confidence through clear communication and professional conduct.

Verify patient demographic information, initials, and signatures post-venipuncture to confirm correct labeling in the patient’s presence.
Documentation & Compliance

Maintain all required documentation and records.

Adhere to company policies, including dress code, health and safety protocols, and confidentiality standards.

Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, coworkers, and the public.
Operational Flexibility

Travel as needed to multiple locations, sometimes with minimal notice.

Work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, overtime, and on-call shifts depending on staffing needs.

Strong phlebotomy proficiency, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collection.

Transportation

Education

Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
Work Experience

Required: 1–3 years of phlebotomy experience.
