Phlebotomist II
Job Location: Lancaster SC
Duration: 3 months of Contract with (Temp-to-hire)
Shift: Mon - Fri 8A-4:30P
Job Overview:
The PSR II represents the face of the company to patients visiting for routine health care or critical health decisions. The role involves drawing high-quality blood samples, preparing specimens for lab testing, and ensuring a safe, professional, and patient-focused environment. The PSR II demonstrates leadership, process excellence, confidentiality, and accuracy in handling patient information. Assignments may include doctor’s offices, patient service centers, or other locations as needed.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.

Maintain a safe, professional, and organized environment.

Perform clinical and forensic specimen collection and processing following established procedures.

Verify patient demographic information and initials; ensure correct labeling of specimens and patient signature verification post-venipuncture.

Maintain required records and documentation.

Promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.

Demonstrate leadership behaviors and organizational commitment.
Job Requirements:

Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.

Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.

Flexible schedule to meet staffing needs (weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime).

Committed to all company policies, dress code, employee health & safety, and guiding principles.

Exercise good judgment and decision-making based on established procedures.

Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record if applicable.

Willingness to travel between multiple locations as needed.

Capable of handling multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.

Demonstrated superior customer focus and effective communication with peers, supervisors, and patients.

Ability to adapt to change and knowledge of company business practices.
Required Education & Certification:

High school diploma or equivalent REQUIRED.
-
Medical training (e.g., medical assistant, paramedic) preferred.

Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
Work Experience:
-
1–3 years of direct phlebotomy experience (including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections) REQUIRED.
