Phlebotomist II

Job Overview:
The PSR II represents the face of the company to patients visiting for routine health care or critical health decisions. The role involves drawing high-quality blood samples, preparing specimens for lab testing, and ensuring a safe, professional, and patient-focused environment. The PSR II demonstrates leadership, process excellence, confidentiality, and accuracy in handling patient information. Assignments may include doctor’s offices, patient service centers, or other locations as needed.

• Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.

• Maintain a safe, professional, and organized environment.

• Perform clinical and forensic specimen collection and processing following established procedures.

• Verify patient demographic information and initials; ensure correct labeling of specimens and patient signature verification post-venipuncture.

• Maintain required records and documentation.

• Promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.

• Demonstrate leadership behaviors and organizational commitment.

• Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.

• Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.

• Flexible schedule to meet staffing needs (weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime).

• Committed to all company policies, dress code, employee health & safety, and guiding principles.

• Exercise good judgment and decision-making based on established procedures.

• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record if applicable.

• Willingness to travel between multiple locations as needed.

• Capable of handling multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.

• Demonstrated superior customer focus and effective communication with peers, supervisors, and patients.

• Ability to adapt to change and knowledge of company business practices.

• High school diploma or equivalent REQUIRED.

• Medical training (e.g., medical assistant, paramedic) preferred.

• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.

• 1–3 years of direct phlebotomy experience (including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections) REQUIRED.
