The Phlebotomist II is the face of the company, responsible for drawing quality blood samples from patients and preparing specimens for lab testing. The PSR II ensures accuracy, compliance, and patient safety while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.

Job Description:
The Phlebotomist II is the face of the company, responsible for drawing quality blood samples from patients and preparing specimens for lab testing. The PSR II ensures accuracy, compliance, and patient safety while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily tasks accurately and on time under supervisor direction.
- Ensure a safe and professional environment.
- Collect and process forensic and clinical specimens following established procedures.
- Verify patient demographics and confirm correct labeling post-venipuncture.
- Maintain required records and documentation.
- Uphold company policies, including dress code and health & safety standards.
- Provide excellent customer service, ensuring positive patient experience.
- Work independently and manage multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.
- Travel and work at multiple locations as needed, sometimes with minimal notice.
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
- 3+ years of phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
- Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.
- Keyboard/data entry experience.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Reliable transportation, personal vehicle required.
- Flexible scheduling availability, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.
- Punctuality and reliability are essential to ensure smooth operations. Consistent attendance is highly valued, and adherence to scheduling expectations is important.
